Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. In his first years of college Meloni had a keen interest in the field of acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. His characters in television have earned him plenty of popularity. He's been able to easily play characters who are from both sides of law to grab an audience's interest. He played the role of a serial killer in the first TV show he appeared in as well as later portrayed of an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he has received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive face features is thought to be the sharp blue eyes which have helped him portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
