Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Meloni discovered his passion for acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and on television but it's the characters portrayed on small screens which have earned him acclaim. He has been able to effortlessly play roles of characters who are from both sides of law, and captivate the viewers' attention. When he first appeared on television, for his debut show, he was a serial murderer. Then, he played the character of an NYPD detective. For his work on the small screen, he's been up for nomination numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The actor is famous for his blue-piercing eyes that have been an iconic feature and have helped to portray tough characters with charisma. The actor was featured on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
